Dr. Madden works around new parents’ schedules and can visit homes anytime from early morning until late at night. She diagnoses newborn problems, such as jaundice and poor weight gain, and maternal problems, such as postpartum depression, and intervenes quickly to prevent complications such as hospital readmission. After the initial home visit she is available to clients for ongoing follow-up via phone calls, text messages, video calls, and repeat home visits. Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement

    Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement

POEM is the Ohio chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI), the leading authority on perinatal mental health.

We are Ohio moms who have survived prenatal/postpartum depression (PPD) or anxiety so we understand like no one else can. We had thoughts that scared and shamed us. We blamed ourselves. We doubted ourselves. We felt weighed down by all the “shoulds” of motherhood.

Some of us had a hard time finding help. That’s why we started POEM, where we volunteer our time to help moms like you who are experiencing the most common complication of childbirth.

It’s okay to reach out for help. That’s why we’re here.

Bereavement Support

  • Project NICU Bereavement Support

    Project NICU Bereavement Support

We know that not all babies in the NICU come home, and this heartbreaking reality is something many families in our community face. At Project NICU, we walk alongside parents during this profound loss with compassion, understanding, and support.

Our Bereavement Program provides families with a meaningful remembrance bag in honor of their baby, along with access to supportive spaces where they are not alone in their grief. Through our bereavement support groups, parents can connect with others who have experienced a loss; sharing memories, emotions, and moments of healing at their own pace.

At Project NICU, we are here to honor every baby’s story and support every family through this deeply difficult journey.

We provide support resources and mentoring programs for bereaved families as well. There is no greater gift that can be given to a grieving family than affirming the importance of the life of their child by offering the simple gift of our Angel Gown® Garments and supporting them emotionally and educationally afterwards.
